New Baby? Try The Leksvik Functional Changing Table
Always looking for stuff to share with my readers…I was out this past weekend and seen the coolest changing table at IKEA. It’s very functional which is my utmost priority when looking for apartment size furniture.
It’s made by Leksvik , designed by Carina Bengs and retails for $169.00. Now I know that is a little pricey for a changing table, but this one doubles as a chest of drawers. This is nice because it can grow and adapt to your child’s needs. Two key features is that it does have a preventative tip over star that anchors to the wall. This will prevent accidental tip over when changing a diaper or will prevent tip over if you child grows and get’s to the point of climbing all over the place. The two drawers also have a stop built in that prevents them from being pulled all the way out. Again, another important feature if you plan to place this changing table in your child’s bedroom. For added storage it has a two partition shelf for easy access of diapers, powder and wipes.
Depth: 22 7/8 ”
Depth: 58 cm
A drawback is the fact that it is only available in a spruce finish, but can be easily painted for a custom look in your child’s bedroom.
Another perfect example of a functional piece of apartment size furniture that is not necessarily made for small spaces, but perfect for new parents looking for dual purpose furniture.
