Got Kids? Here is a Safety Apartment Furniture Tip
Anytime you buy a piece of apartment furniture you have to be thinking about the location and how it’s going to function in your apartment. One thing to think of is how tight tight the furniture will be placed to each other and how much space you will have to maneuver in between each piece of apartment furniture.
Round corners have several benefits in tight location. One is that the flow of the room is more symmetrical and gives the room a larger appearance. Sharp lines and edges are typically used to give your space a edge and define a certain area. With small apartments you want to stay clear of defining edges. Another added benefit of round edges is the proximity of other furniture pieces may be closer than a typical sized room. Rounded corner furniture will be less likely to hurt you if your rubbing up against and trying to fit through tight areas. Of course it’s always a plus for the kids as they grow up they will be less likely to hurt them selves running in to a sharp edge. I can’t even count the several times that our daughter ran into a coffee table…and I was very thankful the impact was lessen with the furniture having rounded edges.
But, if you adamant about a bold look and edge defining lines you could always go out and purchase corner bumpers. Not the best look but will help if you have kids.
